Inland you can discover an entirely different style, an easy pace of life, narrow stone paved streets, scenic beauty of the hills and valleys and rich in culture with several Byzantine churches honored by UNESCO in its World Cultural Heritage list. If however you are seeking more adventurous tours, visit the unspoiled north west Pafos region the Akamas Peninsula, take a jeep safari into Akamas or go trekking at Avakas Gorge.

The Troodos mountains are a great visit, the cool pine-clad mountains are a complete scene change from the beaches, and tranquil timeless villages are a striking contrast to the coastal resorts there are plenty of nature trails to take scenic walks or biking trips.
