| Ayia Napa renowned for
its spectacular nightlife, located on the east coast of the Island,
has fine sandy beaches with crystal clear turquoise sea, the resort
offers plenty of exciting activities for families. Various water
sports, including waterskiing, jet skiing, paragliding and scuba
–diving are on offer at beaches in and around the town, and boat
trips around Cape Greko peninsula and north towards Famagusta leave
from the marina. For the children a visit to the Water world water
park and EMW Go-Karts make good breaks from the beach. Just along
the coast from Ayia Napa are some of the most beautiful beaches
found on the island with their fine white sand and turquoise blue
waters. But Ayia Napa is also home
to significant history, including the Ayia Napa Monastery (dedicated
to the Virgin Mary), which is its archaeological landmark.
Cape Greko is another distinctive part of
Ayia Napa, an area of extreme beauty, with secluded coves, diving
and snorkeling are highly popular activities in this area due to a
number of ships being foundered just off Cape Greko over the past
centuries.
