Day 1: |
Arrive Amman, meet your
driver and depart south via the scenic Kings Highway to
Madaba "the city of Mosaics". At Madaba visit the famous
6th century Byzantine Mosaic map of the Holy land, then
continue to Mount Nebo, the last resting place of Moses
with amazing views to the Jordan River, Jericho and
Jerusalem. From there we drive to the Dead Sea,
experiencing the peculiar sensation of floating on the
surface of the sea at the lowest point on Earth.
(Special arrangements have been made at a hotel in the
Dead Sea to shower and change). Continue to Kerak, an
old crusader town dominated by its 12th century fort.
Continue to Petra for overnight.

Day 2: |
Tour of Petra, now one of
the new Seven Wonders of the World and a UNESCO World
Heritage site. You have the option to ride on horseback
to the entrance of the siq, then on foot to Petra, known
as the rose red city. Visit the famous Treasury, that
appears dramatically at the end of the siq. Overnight in
Petra.

Day 3-4: |
Optional side trip to visit
Wadi Rum, a fabulous 4x4 Safari in the sandy desert,
rocks and canyons. This is Lawrence of Arabia's land, a
stupendous, timeless place, virtually untouched by
humans. Transfer to the Dead Sea for two nights
relaxation at one of the Dead Sea resorts. Overnight at
Dead Sea.

Day 5: |
After breakfast, tour the
ancient Roman city of Jerash considered one of the
largest and most well preserved sites of Roman
architecture in the world outside Italy. After tour
transfer to Amman, or stay to view the Roman army
performance, gladiator fights and chariot race. Rest of
the day at leisure in Amman. Overnight in Amman.

Transfer to Amman airport
