    Drive and Stay Holidays in Cyprus

    Take one of our popular drive-stay routes and discover the Islands hidden valleys, picturesque villages and historic relics of the past. 

    See below suggested itinerary, however feel free to make your own suggestions; we are only too pleased to help you plan your route. Cars are provided on an unlimited mileage basis and can be booked airport to airport or if preferred from the hotel.

    Itineraries and hotels can be varied to suit your needs.

    Suggested Itinerary for self-drive in Cyprus:

    Day 1:     Arrive Larnaca airport, pick up car hire, drive to Larnaca for overnight.

    Day 2:     Visit Larnaca today (No Guide) visit St Lazarus Church, Palm tree promenade, Larnaca Fort (all on foot as nearby)  then drive to Hala Sultan Tekke (mosque) near the Salt lake.   If you like to visit Ayia Napa today you will have time (drive is approx 25 minutes) you may visit Cape Greco, St Anaryiri chapel, Environmental centre and downtown Ayia Napa square or Nissi beach. Overnight in Larnaca

    Day 3:     Drive to cosmopolitan city of Limassol. Meet your guide at one of the hotels in Limassol for half day guided tour.  Drive to Ancient Kourion, Kolossi Castle.  Rest of afternoon free to explore on your own.  You may visit Limassol down town area & Medieval Castle & Museum, Overnight in Limassol

    Day 4:      Drive to Troodos Mountains. (No guide) On the way visit Omodos wine village, Holy Cross monastery and explore the quaint village with many local produce availble to buy. Continue to Platres village and on to  Troodos Square amongst the pine forest.  Return via another route and visit Lania village, another quaint mountain village.  Overnight in Limassol

    Day 5:     Drive to Paphos on west coast.  Meet your guide at one of the hotels in Paphos.  Full day guided tour to visit Archaeological park and mosaics of the House of Dionysos, House of Theseus and Aion.  Visit St Paul’s pillar, St Solomoni catacombs and the tombs of the Kings.  Overnight in Paphos

    Day 6:     No guide.  Drive to Ayios Neophytos monastery just outside Paphos, see the cave known as Engkeistra, the cave excavated in 12th century by the hermit Neofytos.  You may driver further north to Polis via the paphos villages and have lunch at Latchi near the harbour.

    Optional:   2 hour boat trip from Latchi harbour in the afternoon sailing approx 1400 to the Blue Lagoon with time for swimming (optional).  Drive back to Paphos for overnight.  (boat ride subject to weather conditions and only during the summer months)

    Day 7:     No Guide.  Depart from Paphos to Nicosia. Stop on the way in Khirokitia Neolithic site (optional).  Continue via the countryside hills to Vavla village for Ayios Minas convent or continue to Lefkara lace village.  Proceed to Nicosia, the capital for overnight.

    Day 8:    Meet your guide for full day tour of the divided Capital Nicosia to visit both North and South areas.  Visit Archaeological museum, Venetian wall and old city within, Famagusta Gate, Liberty monument, Aqueduct, St John’s Cathedral, Laiki Yitonia (Old Folk neighborhood) and the observatory which shows (from a height) the green line that separates the city in two.  Overnight in Nicosia

    Day 9:    Drive to Larnaca airport for departure flight (approx. 50 minute drive)

    Larnaca 2 nights, Limassol 2 nights, Paphos 2 nights, Nicosia 2 nights.   Total 8 nights

    Note:  With this itinerary you will have a licensed guide for two & half days only, different guide located in each town (Limassol, Paphos & Nicosia)  if you prefer to have a guide with you throughout this is possible and may escort you in the vehicle to each destination.
