    Cyprus Drive and Stay Itinerary 7 nights

    Larnaca 1 night, Nicosia 2 nights, Mountain village 1 night, Paphos 2 nights, Limassol 1 night

    Day 1: Larnaca
    Arrive Larnaca airport, pick up car rental and drive to nearby Larnaca city (12 minute drive). The
    hotel is centrally located, near shops restaurants, the beach and the palm tree promenade, known as
    Finikoudes in Greek. See St Lazarus Church & tomb & Larnaca Fort. Overnight in Larnaca.

    Day 2: Larnaca | Ayia Napa /& Larnaca Hills (Lefkara) – Nicosia
    Visit rest of Larnaca today, drive to Hala Sultan Tekke (mosque) near the Salt lake just outside
    Larnaca between airport and the city. Also visit Pierides Museum in the city centre, and/or visit Ayia
    Napa today on the East of the Island (drive is approx 25 minutes) you may visit Cape Greco, St
    Anaryiri chapel, Environmental centre and downtown Ayia Napa square or Nissi beach.
    Or depart for Larnaca hills, visit Khirokitia Neolithic site (approx. approx. 35 minutes drive). Continue
    to Lefkara lace village, driving through the countryside hills to Vavla village – stop to visit Ayios
    Minas convent. The next village is the pretty stone built Kato Drys village and then to Lefkara lace
    village. Continue to Nicosia, the capital city for overnight (approx. 40 minutes drive)

    Day 3: Nicosia North & South
    Depart for the capital city Nicosia (Lefkosia) the only divided capital city in the World. Visit both
    North and South areas. Visit the archaeological museum, the old city within the Venetian walls,
    Famagusta Gate, Liberty monument, Aqueduct, St John’s cathedral, Byzantine Art Museum and the
    Laiki Yitonia (old folk neighborhood) and then cross the military controlled green line that separates
    the city in two at the Ledra Street checkpoint. This will be on foot as car rental is not permitted due
    to insurance purposes. It is easy to cross to the North by showing your passport at the checkpoint.
    Walk to the nearby Buyuk Han, an ancient stone building from Ottoman era, also very near is the
    Selimiye Mosque which was once St Sophia cathedral.
    Remember to bring your passports with you today. Overnight in Nicosia.

    Day 4: Troodos Mountain & Villages
    Drive to Troodos Mountains. Visit Kakopetria village with its old water mill, walk around the village,
    see the traditional restored houses. Visit UNESCO heritage church of St Nicholas of the Roof outside
    the village and continue to Troodos Square, visit the environmental centre and viewpoint. Descend
    the mountain via Prodromos and stop at Pedhoulas village, visit UNESCO heritage Church of
    Archangel Michael and folkloric museum. Next village is Kalopanayiotis with UNESCO heritage
    church of Ayios Ioannis Lampadistis, time permitting may also visit Kykkos Monastery approx. 1.5
    hours from Pedoulas village to Kykkos and back to Pedoulas (travelling time)
    Overnight in either Pedhoulas village or Kalopanayiotis village in the Marathasa valley.

    Day 5: Troodos Mountain Villages | Kourion – Kolossi | Paphos
    Depart via Platres village amongst pine and cedar trees, a resort visited by famous personalities,
    poets and royalty. Visit Omodos wine village, Holy Cross monastery and explore the quaint village
    with many local produce available to buy, see the medieval wine press (Linos). Continue via
    mountain villages to Limassol to Erimi Wine Museum (optional) and sample the local wine of the
    area. Visit ancient Kourion an archaeological site with impressive amphitheatre and mosaics, next
    stop Kolossi crusader castle.
    Continue to Paphos along the scenic route, stopping on the way at Aphrodite’s Rock to admire the
    landscape. Time permitting visit Yeroskipou village and see the ancient church of Ayia Paraskevi.
    Try the local delicacy “Loukoumi” made in the village.
    Arrive in Paphos for overnight.

    Day 6: Paphos
    Drive to the tomb of the Kings impressive underground tombs of the Hellenistic period 4th century
    BC carved out of solid rock. Visit Ayios Neophytos monastery just outside Paphos, see the cave
    known as Engleistra, the cave excavated in 12th century by the hermit Neofytos. Continue driving
    further north to Polis via the Paphos villages and enjoy fish meze lunch at Latchi near the harbour.
    Visit the Baths of Aphrodite and enjoy the scenic view of Akamas peninsula.
    Optional – Take a 2 hour boat trip sailing daily from Latchi harbour in the morning or afternoon.
    Sail into the Akamas peninsula park, the most beautiful natural areas of Cyprus with clear turquoise
    waters, enjoy the most memorable coastline of the Island. You will have the opportunity to swim in
    the blue lagoon (optional) and enjoy refreshments on board.
    Drive back to Paphos for overnight.

    Day 7: Paphos – Limassol
    Discover the rest of Paphos and it’s remarkable history. The whole town has been awarded by
    UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
    Visit the archaeological park, see the Roman Villas with their well-preserved mosaics depicting
    scenes from Greek Mythology such as the House of Dionysos (the god of wine) is one of the largest
    and best known of the mosaic houses and other smaller ones are the House of Theseus and House
    of Aion. Visit the nearby St Paul’s pillar with the remains of foundations of a 4th century Christian
    basilica.
    Depart Paphos for Limassol. Visit Limassol downtown area & Medieval Castle & Museum and walk
    along the molos seafront area.
    Overnight in Limassol

    Day 8: Departure Limassol – Larnaca
    Drive from Limassol to Larnaca airport for departure flight (approx. 1 hour drive on highway)
