Day trip from Larnaca via eastern Cyprus (Protaras or Ayia Napa)

Start time: 08.00hrs

Ending time: approx: 16.45hrs to 17.15hrs

Entering through Strovilia check point.

First stop will be at the viewpoint of the Ghost Town of the Varosha section of the town of Famagusta. Prior to the Turkish invasion, this was one of the world’s best-known tourist resorts with its golden sand beaches and modern architecture.

Take a short walk in the old town of Famagusta, where you will see the wall of the city and the Othello Tower and St Nicolas Gothic Church, which is now a mosque.  (there will be approx: 4 hours free time to explore the area for those not wishing to continue)

Optional Extras:

Next stop will be a visit to the archaeological site of Salamis. Please allow  around 40 minutes for this visit.  Continuing for a visit and guiding to Saint Barnabas Church and tomb. Saint Barnabas is the founder of the Cyprus Orthodox church.

(Travelers who wish to have this tour please allow only 2 hours free at the first stop of Famagusta)

We will stop for lunch in the area. Lunch is optional and is not included in the price.

Return back to Larnaca, Protaras and Ayia Napa through Strovilia check point.
