Tour begins with visit to nearby village of Yeroskipou. view the making of ancient traditional craft by the local potters. Continue the visit within Yeroskipou square and the unique 5-domed church of Saint Paraskevi. At the same site, built during the 9th century, previously was the ancient temple of Aphrodite.
Geroskipou is also famous for its sweet delights (turkish delights or loukoumia). view how loukoumia are made. Within the surrounding are there are other locally produced shops.
Tour continues to the small village of Letymbou. At this village can tour through the traditional house of Sophia to experience rooms accommodating traditional costumes, decor and original furniture. The making of traditional halloumi cheese, local delicacies and baking of village bread in a clay oven can be taught. Lastly a Cypriot brunch will be offered. (included in Price).
Finally last visit would be to Saint Neofytos monastery. Visit the “enkleistra”. It is an enclosure, where hermit Neophytos has carved out within the mountain during 12th century. The find Byzantine frescoes can be viewed here. In the surrounding area and after the death of Saint Neofytos a monastery was built some 200 years after his death and is dedicated to Virgin Mary.
